About the Program
The Connect Program – Soliya’s flagship virtual exchange initiative – is an online cross-cultural education program that provides young adults with a unique opportunity to establish a deeper understanding for the perspectives of others around the world and develop critical 21st Century skills. Guided by Soliya-trained volunteer facilitators, participants collaboratively explore important sociopolitical issues by engaging in live dialogue sessions and project-based learning. Volunteers and alumni from the Connect Program also form the foundation for the Soliya Community, a vibrant and global network designed to inspire and empower a community of young people to promote cross-cultural understanding in their societies. Since 2003, the Connect Program has connected more than 33,000 young people across 280 institutional partners in 37 countries in North America, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Asia.
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and tech-savvy individual who is passionate about cross-cultural dialogue and conflict resolution to join our group of high-performing team players. You will work closely with the Program team in North America and around the world on implementing Soliya’s Connect Program and its Continued Engagement activities, and use your communication, administrative and creative problem-solving skills to effectively manage students and alumni in the Connect Program.
What you bring to the team:
All applicants must have a Bachelor of Arts or equivalent and demonstrate:
• Passion for Soliya’s mission,
• Independence and self-reliance, with demonstrated ability to work with a multicultural team,
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Arabic,
• Strong attention to detail, with an ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment,
• Demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of data and develop effective tracking systems,
• Demonstrated capacity to manage projects independently,
• Comfort with using digital tools and platforms for program delivery,
• Versatility, patience, and a sense of humor.
Your key responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Program Manager of the Connect Program, and will
have the following responsibilities:
• Manage the relationship with Connect Program student participants and coordinate all student-related affairs,
• Communicate effectively with students, and internal staff, ensuring smooth collaboration and clear communication,
• Update and maintain program content and materials, ensuring alignment with the program's learning outcomes and objectives,
• Coordinate and implement student registration and scheduling processes, resolving issues and ensuring timely enrollment and accurate placement in the program,
• Perform administrative tasks as needed (update internal databases, track student performance, etc.),
• Assist in implementing impact assessment tools for Connect Program participants, and work with the team to identify programmatic successes,
• Support Continued Engagement efforts for program participants, ensuring ongoing participation and connection with alumni,
• Support the development and implementation of program projects, contributing ideas under guidance to enhance the program’s impact, and
• Facilitate dialogue between students from Western and predominantly Muslim societies,
